For the first time, biologists and economists held talks during a workshop on the theme of ocean acidification which is being held at the Oceanographic Museum until this evening. Organised by the Monaco Scientific Centre and the IAEA, the purpose of the meeting is to assess the economic effects of this environmental phenomena.
The conclusions of the two days’ work will be announced today. This workshop has created an unprecedented forum for exchange between the two communities, a key factor in the decision making process to limit CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
