Last November, the Government of Monaco informed Monegasques and residents of the opening of the retirement home “A Qietüdine”, located 5/7, avenue du Port, on 5th April 2010.
The establishment boasts 70 individual rooms offering a high level of hotel-type amenities.
It is designed for individuals over the age of 60 who are independent or have a moderate loss of autonomy, are of Monegasque nationality or have been residents of the Principality for over 5 years since the date of their application.
Residents will benefit from nursing care and assistance in carrying out certain everyday tasks from qualified staff.
Tariffs are based on accommodation and catering services and vary according to the quality of the room (storey, exposure, size) from 110 € to 160 € per day.
The tariff also takes into account care for loss of autonomy and depending on the individual will range from 4 € to 12 € per day.
It is brought to the attention of anyone who is interested that, if they have insufficient income, they may benefit from financial aid for accommodation from the Social Welfare Office. The office also manages the personal budgets granted to offset partially or totally the dependency tariff.
They should contact Professor Alain Pesce, in charge of the geriatrics sector and head of Monaco’s Gerontological Coordination Centre on 97 98 95 35 in order to make an appointment for the medical check-up necessary to examine their application.
Further information on the home and the admission procedure will be given to them on this occasion.
