Following the success of their day focused on showing the public how to use a semi-automated external defibrillator (AED) for the past two years, 2nd year students at the IFSI are renewing this action this summer when they will be demonstrating what to do in the event of a cardiac emergency.
Two dates for your diary: 17th June at Charles III School and 28th July on the Larvotto esplanade, the students will be taking on the role of trainers, equipped with dummies and defibrillators, and will set up a real-life situation.
They will be supervised by Dr Philippe Ricard, deputy head of the Cardiology Unit. The goal of the training, open to the general public and pupils of the school, is to learn what to do to save a life in the event of a cardiac emergency.
