Press release

08-05-2009-

The French medical and health authorities confirmed on Thursday afternoon of 7th May 2009 that the Monegasque resident, transferred yesterday at 5 p.m. to the Infectious Disease Department at the Archet Hospital, is not infected with the A/H1N1 flu virus, as the tests carried out are negative.

Whilst being extremely happy about this positive development for the individual concerned and his family, whose behaviour has been exemplary, the health authorities in the Principality are asking the population to remain vigilant and follow the guidelines and recommendations issued by the public authorities.

They have confirmed that any new cases will be dealt with openly with a view to keeping the public fully informed.

They would also like to thank the French departmental and regional authorities for their extremely efficient cooperation in this affair.
