Road safety: the advice of the Government

12-27-2011
    Following the fatal traffic accident which occurred on Boulevard du Larvotto, in the evening of Monday 26th December and has left the Principality grief-stricken, the Government of Monaco would like to remind drivers of a few basic road safety rules, so that the New Year holiday celebrations may be enjoyed by all.

    These simple rules will guarantee your safety, and in particular that of drivers of two-wheeled vehicles and other road users:

    - respect the highway code, especially inter-urban speed limits;
    - do not attempt to drive under the influence of alcohol or if you are extremely tired, in particular at the end of the evening;
    - choose a designated driver prior to the celebrations whose role will be to drive home all party-goers safely at the end of the evening.
      Road safety concerns everyone: act responsibly.
