From 6th July to 10th August, Fort Antoine is back in town with its popular, lively and culturally diverse theatre. Every Monday at 9.30 p.m. at various and sometimes surprising venues, performers will be establishing a special relationship with the public, by giving a different slant to contemporary creativity. New this year: a day dedicated entirely to street art, “Monaco Street” and a festive historical evening on Monday 27th in honour of the 300 years of the Fort Antoine bastion, bringing back to life this page of history and featuring a brass band and the Forestan company.
Antigone is opening the season in Fort Antoine, a “Vietnam Antigone” presented by the Monte-Charge Theatre from Pau in co-production with the Tuong National Theatre. This masked theatre is the result of an approach blending together various cultures and falls on the 60th anniversary of the Principality of Monaco’s membership to UNESCO.
On the following Monday at 10 p.m., Narcissus holds our attention on Larvotto beach with a performance by the Ilotopie company, which specialises in street art. “Narcisse Guette”, aquatic choreography, will have self-reflection and image as its theme.

“Les Carboni”, a jewel of Marseille operetta, will be providing the entertainment in Fort Antoine on 20th July to the delight of the young and old, with a “jazzy” version of familiar tunes to get those feet tapping.
Don’t miss “Monaco Street” on Saturday 26th July. Starting at 11.30 a.m., the street marionettes, the “Gaspard” will be in rue Princesse Caroline for an interactive game with the public. At 7 p.m. an appointment with the “Rubbish Rabbits”, contemporary clowns on the Rose des Vents esplanade followed by an ambulatory fantasy comedy “the Faunèmes”. The day will conclude in Place d’Armes with an unusual interactive ball. On the same day from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the square in front of the Princess Grace Theatre, a special installation/show designed for one spectator at a time will plunge you into the heart of a unique story.
On Monday 3rd August in Fort Antoine, Robin Renucci and Mikhaïl Rudy will join up to recount and illustrate “Le pianiste” by Szpilman accompanied by the music of Chopin’s Nocturne.
Last but not least there will be laughter to end the season with “Les Acrostiches” from Toulouse who have as their objective the wish to defy gravity in all the senses of the term, combining humour, ridicule and amazing physical feats.
