The Minister for Social Affairs and Health, Stéphane Valeri, has visited the Family Mediation Centre and met Christine Lorenzini, the mediator, as well as the Parent-Child Drop-In Centre where he met Agnès Bricoux, a psychologist. He was accompanied by Doctor Anne Negre, Director of Health and Social Affairs, as well as Véronique Segui-Charlot, Head of Social Services and Christine Soriano, in charge of social requests within the Department.
The Family Mediation Centre, set up in 2000, located in the “Saint Sébastien” building, 6 bd de Belgique, meet an increasingly large need in our modern society, due to the number of family conflicts. The facilities are run by a qualified, independent and impartial mediator, who receives the individuals concerned, in total confidentiality, in order to promote, either on a voluntary basis or by judicial means, the resumption of dialogue focused on the needs of each party.
The Parent-Child Drop-In Centre, set up in 2001, also housed in the “Saint Sébastien” building, enables, upon a court ruling, parent-child relations to be maintained, made or resumed in a reassuring setting, with the support of competent professionals.
