After approximately two months of work, the new organ in Monaco Cathedral has now been reassembled. The last pieces of scaffolding have been removed and the public can now admire the instrument, created by the organ maker Thomas de Spa in Belgium.
The façade with its translucent slats and resolutely contemporary lighting make it a true musical work of art.
The organ now has to be tuned and this long and intricate work will be completed by November for the National Holiday.
For readers’ information, the organ features 4 keyboards, 79 stops and 7,000 pipes.
