On the request of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, the Government of Monaco is taking action in aid of the victims of the tragic flooding that occurred in the Department of the Var on 15th June. Emergency aid amounting to 100,000€ has just been sent to the Draguignan Metropolitan Area, severely hit by the adverse weather conditions.
Furthermore, the Monegasque Red Cross, in cooperation with the French Red Cross Coordination Centre in Paris, is sending out to its local committees in the Var a team of ten first-aid workers specialised in clearance and rescue operations. The team is equipped with appropriate machinery: an electricity generator, pruner, high-pressure cleaner.
Last but not least, the Monegasque Red Cross will pass on all donations made in aid of the Var disaster victims to its French counterpart.
