|
21-03-2011-
From 17th to 19th March, cardiologists from the world over followed a training course for an innovative heart operation system at the Princess Grace Hospital. The operation consisted of treating cardiac arrhythmia by intentionally provoking lesions on the heart using radio frequency. The course began with an operation carried out by Pr Saoudi with the CHPG’s magnetic navigation system, broadcast live onto the giant screen in the Lou Clapas Amphitheatre. Two days of training and discussions followed between international high-level specialists.
Placed under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the Monaco-USA Arrhythmia Course is an initiative of Pr Nadir Saoudi, head of the CHPG cardiology unit and a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN).
* Arrhythmia is a cardiology speciality. It involves the study of disordered cardiac rhythm, such as tachycardia and bradycardia.
