For the first time, the Monegasque Cooperation is lending its support to the 10th edition of “No Finish Line 2009” by funding the kilometres run by civil servants and state employees. The funds raised, 1.10 € for each kilometre covered, will support the project implemented by Monaco Collectif Humanitaire.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of State has just informed civil servants and state employees that the 10th edition of “No Finish Line 2009” was launched last weekend on the new sea wall in Port Hercule.
The event, organised in aid of the association, Children & Future, will raise funds to support several projects, including the one conducted by Monaco Collectif Humanitaire.
The project, initiated on the occasion of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince’s 50th birthday, has already enabled 80 children, whose pathologies could not be operated on in their country of origin, to receive surgery in the Principality.
For the first time this year, the kilometres covered by civil servants and state employees will bring in twice as much, since the Office of International Cooperation, which is a member of Monaco Collectif Humanitaire, has agreed to pay 1.10 € for each kilometre covered by the Civil Service team during No Finish Line.
Such support promotes the sporting achievements of the members of the team and at the same time associates them with the financial efforts made by many Monegasque companies on this occasion.
For the 2008 edition, civil servants and state employees ran a distance of over 2 000 kilometres.
