Malizia: a new board game set in the Principality

29/12/2006 -

Two, three or four players are needed, if possible with some knowledge of the history of Monaco. The new board game “Malizia” (Malice) has just come out and within a week, 500 copies have already been sold!

Created by Art Com Monaco, in partnership with the Stamp Issuing Office, the game enables players to discover or rediscover in a fun and enjoyable way the richness of the history and culture of the Principality. The principle is simple: players have to answer questions correctly about the Principality which are based on 6 themes (gardens, hotels, sports, museums, theatre, and the palace), to move forward and reach the symbolic “Crown Chamber".

But more than just a game, Malizia (a veiled reference to the ancestor of the Prince’s family, François Grimaldi, who was given this nickname and who, in 1297, took the fortress on the Rock of Monaco by storm) is a wonderful tool designed to promote the image of the Principality. The questions will soon be translated into English and Italian.

The game is on sale in FNAC stores in the region and Jouéclub, Cartoon and Toys Mania in Monaco at 49.90 euros.
