A new radio station for Monaco
|
19/07/2007 -
Radio Monaco is here…. what music to our ears! Based in the Fontvieille district of Monaco, Radio Monaco is already set to fly high: the studio has been set up on premises measuring 600m2 in the Gildo Pastor Center and is run by ten individuals.
Available on a digital frequency in Monaco, the new radio uses the same wavelength (98.2 FM) as MC One, created in April 2004, which it now replaces. Within the next few months, Radio Monaco should soon use T-DAB (Terrestrial Digital Audio Broadcasting) once the go-ahead has been given by the CSA (Supreme Broadcasting Council) in France.
A young and dynamic image
Launched by Gildo Pallanca-Pastor, the Monegasque radio station is focused on “news and music” aimed at projecting a positive image of the Riviera, particularly within the areas of culture and leisure.
Backed by the Monaco Government and the Conseil Général des Alpes-Maritimes, the initiative will receive a final decision concerning its coverage from the CSA in September. The application has requested regional coverage.
