PRINCE PIERRE OF MONACO FOUNDATION 60th anniversary of the Literary Award Press Release n°2

23-09-2011-

Celebrating 60 years of the Literary Award

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Literary Award, the Prince Pierre Foundation, in cooperation with the Editions du Rocher, has decided to publish an anthology of texts by 60 winners of the Literary Award, edited by Gérard de Cortanze. The works deal with artistic creativity.

The publication will be accompanied by a collection of texts written by secondary school students from the Principality. They share their views on works having won a Foundation award in three fields of creativity. 31 students from schools in the Principality (Lycée Albert I and the Lycée Technique) took part: three of them were entrusted with giving a music criticism, 18 an artistic criticism and 10 a literary criticism.

As part of this anniversary, a collection showing the actions of the Prince Pierre Foundation will also be presented (“Mini-Livre” collection – Editions Biotop). This “Mini-Book” (2.5 cm wide and 3.02 cm high) pays tribute to the support provided by the Prince Pierre Foundation for literary creativity.

Finally, the Prince Pierre Foundation, again in cooperation with the Editions du Rocher, is continuing its series “Les Grandes Traductions” with the publication of:

Le Moulin du Pò (Il Mulino del Pò) by Riccardo Bacchelli - Volume 1

The following 2 volumes will be published at the next sessions of the Prince Pierre Foundation.

The Prince Pierre Foundation award winners will be announced
at 8 p.m. on Tuesday 4th October 2011 in the Salle Garnier.
