CHPG Nurse Training Institute (IFSI): registration for the entrance examination begins on 1st December

The Nurse Training Institute (IFSI) will begin to take registrations for its 2011 entrance examination on 1st December 2010. The examination concerns anyone who is interested in training as a nurse and who meets the following criteria:
- to hold the baccalaureate or an equivalent diploma;
- to be in the upper sixth form (subject to passing the baccalaureate) or
- to hold a Vocational Qualification in Auxiliary Nursing; in Paediatric Auxiliary Nursing or in Medical and Psychological Aid, and to justify three years of activity (full time equivalent at the time of registration);
- to justify at least 5 years of professional activity validated by a regional jury.
The closing date for registration is Wednesday 9th February at the latest. The written entrance exam will take place on Saturday 26th March at the Princess Grace Hospital of Monaco’s Nurse Training Institute.
The registration file for the entrance examination is available from the I.F.S.I. secretarial office from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Alternatively it can be sent through the post or downloaded from the Princess Grace Hospital website from 1st December 2010.
The course is run for 30 students per year and involves specialised educational training over a three-year period, combining lessons and work placements supervised by professionals in the field. Work placements are carried out either in the hospital environment or the non-hospital environment in the Principality of Monaco and neighbouring towns, or further afield according to the teaching requirements or professional objectives of the students.
The course leads to a State Diploma in nursing, recognised at degree level.
