Louis II Stadium – Kick-off on Wednesday 3rd March at 8.45 p.m.
On 3rd March 2010, the Louis II Stadium will be hosting an international match between Italy and Cameroon.
Following the match between AS Monaco FC / Inter Milan on 30th July, it seemed quite natural for the Principality to host another high-level friendly match.
The match will give the Cameroonian national team, one of the best in Africa, the opportunity to start preparing for the next World Cup (June 2010 in South Africa) against Italy, the current champions and four times winners of the competition (1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006).
One of the members of Cameroonian team is a player for ASM FC, Nicolas Nkoulou.
The two countries have already played against each other at the World Cup both times in a round-robin tournament: ending in a draw 1-1 in Spain in 1982 and a victory to Italy 3-0 in 1998 in Montpellier.
Journalists wishing to cover the Italy-Cameroon match on Wednesday 3rd March 2010 at 8.45 p.m. in Monaco, Louis II Stadium, are kindly asked to send requests for accreditation to Thierry Hubac by email (thubac@asm-fc.com) or by fax (+377 92 05 24 54) by Friday 26th February, giving their title and the name of their media, and including a photocopy of their press card and/or USJSF and/or AIPS card.
